Who Should Take This Course
This course is for community health workers and other health care staff who work in the community.
Objectives
At the end of this program, the learner will be able to:
- Describe 2-3 strategies for helping clients manage their chronic condition(s).
- Demonstrate 1 – 2 counseling skills to help clients adopt healthier behaviors.
- Identify at least 1 resource that you can recommend to help clients strengthen their self-management behaviors.
Non-Certified Content
This course provides 1 hour of non-certified CEUs that can be used by Texas CHWs for renewal.
Competencies covered include Knowledge Base, Interpersonal, Communication, and Capacity-Building
