Who Should Take This Course

This course is directed toward staff of Tribal schools and childcare centers. Childcare centers include Head Start programs, youth programs, after school programs, and childcare centers.  

Examples of staff who can take the course include teachers, administrators, providers, nurses, social workers, after school program staff, support staff, volunteers, kitchen staff, janitorial staff, maintenance staff, and other people who have a role in water system maintenance.

  • Identify why and when there is need to test drinking water for lead   
  • Describe steps to prepare for lead testing   
  • Describe actions to take to reduce possible exposure to lead in drinking water
