Pre Exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP, is a powerful biomedical tool that can help prevent new cases of HIV, yet many providers know little about it, and do not discuss it with their clients. This is especially true for staff who work within or are associated with the Indian Health Service (IHS) system of care and who see American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) clients.  PrEP Training for Community and Public Health Staff is a series of courses that aim to increase knowledge and awareness of the benefits of PrEP. This course, PrEP Screening and Eligibility, is the second in the series of four. 

Who Should Take This Course 

Patient navigators, Community Health Representatives (CHRs), Physicians, Registered Nurses, health educators, and other clinic staff who work within or are associated with the Indian Health Service (IHS) system of care and who see American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) clients.   

Continuing Education

Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)

This activity is jointly provided by Cardea Services and Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board.

Cardea Services is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
