About
The purpose of this training is to provide CHWs with a foundation of public health policy development and how to engage with lawmakers to develop policy.
Objectives:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify how policy impacts the health of populations.
- Identify how policy is being made.
- Discuss the relationship between health policy and politics.
- Identify how policy impacts the social determinants of health.
- Discuss how CHWs can impact health.

May 1, 2025 from Noon to 1:30pm
Series
The sessions occur the first Thursday of the month, except for the July session.
CHWs may receive 1.5 DSHS certified CEUs for each webinar attended.
