About

The purpose of this training is to help community health workers (CHWs) understand their role and impact in public health.

Objectives:

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe key public health concepts and approaches
  • Describe key public health challenges and how public health services help address challenges
  • Describe core public health competencies (workforce skills)
  • Describe the role and impact of CHWs in public health

When

February 6, 2025 from Noon to 1:30pm

Series

The sessions occur the first Thursday of the month, except for the July session.

CHWs may receive 1.5 DSHS certified CEUs for each webinar attended.
