The purpose of this training is to help community health workers (CHWs) understand their role and impact in public health.
Objectives:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe key public health concepts and approaches
- Describe key public health challenges and how public health services help address challenges
- Describe core public health competencies (workforce skills)
- Describe the role and impact of CHWs in public health

The sessions occur the first Thursday of the month, except for the July session.
CHWs may receive 1.5 DSHS certified CEUs for each webinar attended.
