About this Event

This 4-hour interactive session will cover the importance of father involvement in infant brain development. It will also discuss how to engage fathers in the early months of their infants' lives. This event is for Texas residents in the Tyler and surrounding areas.

Objectives

As a result of participating in this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe three benefits of parent engagement in baby’s brain health development.
  • Identify two ways that fathers can be engaged in baby’s brain health development.
  • List two changes they can make to increase father engagement in baby’s brain health development.

Community Health Workers, CHW-Instructors, nurses, and other healthcare staff who work with pregnant people and their families, or work with men in a healthcare capacity.

This course provides 4.0 hours of Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) certified CHW and CHW-I Continuing Education

Cardea is approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services to provide continuing CHW hours in Texas, 
Certification #44 and continuing CHW-I hours in Texas, Certification #55.

Continuing Education for Nurses

Cardea Services is approved as a provider of continuing nursing professional development by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
