Unconscious Bias IN-PERSON
Course
The goal of this in-person, 8-hour course is to provide an overview of unconscious bias, culture, and identity; and propose strategies to disrupt bias interpersonally and institutionally.
Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will have an opportunity to:
- Identify forms of unconscious bias
- Investigate our own identity markers and unconscious bias
- Define and discuss culture to understand its impact on unconscious bias
- Explain concrete strategies to minimize unconscious bias
- Apply strategies to direct work with clients
Course Completion
- Learners are expected to complete all parts of the course, and attend for the full day, in order to receive your certificate of completion.
- The maximum number of participants is 10. If this course is full, please enroll in the next training.
In-Person 2024 Session Dates: All sessions run from 9:00AM-5:00PM, Central Time
Each course will open about 37 days prior to the course registration deadline (1 week before the first day of training) to allow for prerequisite and training confirmation.
- June 28 (Pre-work opens May 24 and Post-work closes July 5) in Austin, TX.
- Nov 8 (Pre-work opens Oct 4 and Post-work closes Nov 15) in Houston, TX.
